Every February, the eResearch NZ / eRangahau Aotearoa conference gathers researchers, IT leaders, and eResearch practitioners to connect, converse, and set direction for future digital research leadership in Aotearoa.
Celebrating its 16th year, the event is coming to Ōtautahi Christchurch from 11-13 February 2025, co-hosted by NeSI, REANNZ, and Genomics Aotearoa.

Be part of the programme
Our conference theme for 2025 is: New Horizons: Shaping the Digital Future of Research in Aotearoa.
Under this theme, we'll be looking to build a programme around four key pillars:
- Shaping new futures – Speakers from a range of disciplines showcasing researchers operating at the cutting edge of their field.
- Evolution of eResearch Infrastructure – Enablers / infrastructure work streams discussing the trends and/or showcasing how researchers are using developments in technology to further their research.
- Growing and supporting our people – Speakers from a range of disciplines focused on retaining and developing talent, and building communities of practice.
- Embedding Te Tiriti – Speakers exploring and celebrating what best practice looks like.
We welcome submissions of new and recent work, examples of emerging trends and best practice, or opportunities to build community through the following submission types:
- lightning talks or posters
- oral presentations
- Birds-of-a-Feather
- Workshops
