Seeking participants for research survey on energy awareness in HPC

Researchers at the University of Chicago are examining how high performance computer (HPC) users and facilities can reduce the amount of energy they consume. As part of this work, they are looking for participants for a survey on the energy awareness of HPC.

Anyone who uses HPC resources is eligible to participate, so we are sharing the details with our HPC community in Aotearoa New Zealand.

The study includes a short survey and is followed by a game where the user simulates their choices of computing resources when submitting a job.

No personally identifiable information will be collected as part of the study and should take at most 15 minutes to complete.

The study will be open until 9 Sept 2024.
