Waipapa Taumata Rau | The University of Auckland have a newly created role for a Deputy - Chief Information Security Officer for Research. You will ideally be based in Auckland, but we are open to offering remote working options from within New Zealand. The purpose of this position is to work across three large entities, the University of Auckland (UoA), NeSI, and Auckland UniServices Limited (AUL).

We are seeking a Senior HPC Cloud Platform DevOps Engineer to join our passionate team on a full-time, permanent basis. In this role, you will provide technical expertise and services to support the build and operations of NeSI platforms nationally.  Applications must be submitted online by the closing date of Sunday 10 July 2022 to be considered.

Now in its third year, NeSI's annual New Zealand Research Software Engineering (NZ RSE) Conference continues to support and grow the community of those who write code and develop applications that enable research. This community comprises researchers, software engineers, computational scientists and anyone who writes code, applies software solutions to research problems, and/or develops applications that enable research.We're pleased to announce the dates for our 2022 event!

We are entering the final stretch to deliver expanded capacity and capabilities for the Mahuika cluster. There are still a few key pieces of the puzzle to place, but over the last few months, we've made significant progress preparing the new system's setup. This critical yet behind-the-scenes work is an important part of our journey to deliver Mahuika’s new capabilities – from additional compute capacity to specialised tools for supporting data-intensive research.
