On 01 September, 2020, NeSI kicked off a new 'Researcher Spotlight' webinar series with a panel of four researchers will shared how they navigated the ups and downs of learning high performance computing. The panelists, listed below, talked about how they first got started, what they found most challenging about the learning process, and how learning to use supercomputers changed the way they approach research.

In addition to operational management responsibilities, this position also contributes to the development of the current HPC systems, informing and implementing the policies under which they operate, supporting future developments and procurement, and developing and delivering the services that underpin NIWA research, forecasting operations, and commercial services.
NeSI's HPC platform, Data Transfer platform, and team members are available to support research projects during Alert Level '2.5' in Auckland and Alert Level 2 elsewhere in New Zealand.
