Job Opportunity: Research Communities Facilitator
An exciting opportunity is available for a motivated and customer-centric professional to join the NeSI team. We are seeking a Research Communities Facilitator to be responsible for facilitating the planning, development, and delivery of engagement-related activities in line with NeSI objectives.
Reporting to the Engagement Manager, this role will focus broadly across the New Zealand research sector, reaching into institutions and research communities to form close collaborations. You'll work across a broad range of tasks to make this happen, contributing to and participating in events, training, and networking activities in order to connect our researchers with relevant resources and opportunities.
Our Ideal Applicant
In order to understand the environments that our researchers and stakeholder groups operate in, it's essential that you have at least two years of research-related experience. Alternatively, you'll be able to demonstrate a work experience equivalent and/or a history of education and learning in line with the knowledge requirements of this role.
You'll be expected to have a high level of computer/technology literacy, in order to be able to understand the sector, but also to be able to deliver on the operational requirements of this role.
In order to be successful in this role, you’ll need highly developed communication ability, with verbal, written and interpersonal skills essential. Proven relationship management strengths are also essential, with clear evidence of your ability to build successful business relationships.
You should be tertiary qualified in Computer Science, Science, or a similar discipline. Relevant postgraduate qualifications will be advantageous.
