The NZ eScience Infrastructure (NeSI) is an advanced national computational research support program funded in part by the NZ government. NeSI develops and provides the services and delivery platforms to provide for the computational and data intensive research needs of the research sector. NeSI is hosted by The University of Auckland and has an opening for an energetic Executive Assistant/Team Administrator, to work closely with the Director, NeSI Board and wider team.

 

This is a fantastic opportunity for the right person to work in a dynamic and challenging work environment. The position would suit someone looking for a varied range of tasks and responsibilities and able to provide substantive and consistent levels of quality administrative and coordination support to NeSI. Ideally you will demonstrate proven experience in a similar role, possess exceptional communication skills, and have the ability to adapt to a changing business environment.

 

To be successful in this position you will have excellent skills at using MS Office applications and a ‘can-do’ attitude. You will also have good humour, positive, proactive disposition, and a finer appreciation of how to support effective team culture to work collectively towards common goals. Key responsibilities will include general administration for governance and management team members as well as diary management, business travel, arranging of accommodation, expense processing, facilitating payment of invoices, and project administration and coordination.

 

As part of the NeSI team, you will be joining a small and focused national team of experts, delivering a new national eScience infrastructure for the NZ research sector.
