Pores and Pours: Oxford Nanopore Technologies Research Symposium 2024

NeSI is delighted to announce that the Bragato Research Institute will host Pores and Pours, an Oxford Nanopore Technologies Research Symposium, on Tuesday 11 June 2024.

This event presents an opportunity for professionals in genomics and epigenetics across New Zealand to exchange research insights with colleagues and stay updated on the latest technological advancements from ONT application scientists, all while enjoying a glass of fine New Zealand wine.

Additionally, the University of Canterbury will be hosting two satellite hands-on analysis workshops as part of this event:

  • Variant Calling with Epi2Me by Dr Miles Benton (ONT), on Monday 10 June
  • Long Reads Genome Assembly by the NeSI/Genomics Aotearoa training team, Dr Natalie Forsdick (MWLR) and Dr Annabel Whibley (BRI), on Wednesday, 12 June

Both in-person workshops will be held at Beatrice Tinsley 112, University of Canterbury.

This is a free event and all sessions will be conducted in-person only. As the space is limited, registration is mandatory. If you are interested in delivering a brief (15-minute) presentation on your research, please indicate your preference during registration.
